Most of us should have read about her from so many news articles and online media as the first Indian woman driver to compete in one of the highest classes of Formula racing in the country after signing up for the Euro JK series in the JK Tyre-FMSCI National racing championship. Though she is yet to complete her last round of the event on November 19th , it was a moment for the entire country to cherish as we have very few talents in the field of motor sports in India. Mira got into the love with racing when she once attended a racing event with her dad in Pune. Since then racing is a passion for her and she has pushed herself hard to achieve a name herself in this male dominated sport. Mad Garage is privileged to have an interview with this young talent who would be soon becoming the first woman Formula One driver in the country.
As per the Indian government rule 18 is the mandatory age requirement for getting the driving license, but you are just 17 and you are driving formula one car, that’s something which people would be curious to know.

To drive BMW FB02 in a racing event is considered as a crucial event in a racers career and you did it at a very young age of 17, so how you feel about that ?
There is nothing like FBO2 is considered as a crucial event in a racer’s career. Every event that are they so participates when is crucial event for him or her. Driving the FBO2 BMW car was a big thing for me as I have worked really hard to get a chance to drive those cars. And I’ll continue working hard and keep improving to get into much faster cars with much more better competition.
