Paper planes feat Dhanya Ravi

Paper planes is a small video by OSAAT (One step at a time) that shows how mainstream schools are inaccessible to children with disabilities in India.

Inaccessible education results in secluding these children right from the time when a child with a disability is seeking education.

This video is based on the true life story of Dhanya Ravi who was born with Brittle Bones disorder and was denied admissions to many schools as a child and ended up being home schooled.

Samaavesh is One step at a time’s disability awareness and advocacy program that works towards changing this and making schools more Inclusive. You can donate for this and can be a part of this noble cause.

Hema Subhash, an above knee amputee and ex-software engineer from Bangalore, India, started One Step at a Time, as a support group for people with physical disabilities in June 2010 as she saw a need to connect those with disabilities, and help them garner support and motivation from each other.
