Since the Musical legend A.R Rahman bought Oscars to the country in 2009, we are on a wait for the next one and even if few more Rahman songs made into the list in the years which followed, we couldn’t get the golden statuettes back again and now after years a student of A.R Rahman is on the verge of getting hold of the academy award.
‘Have You Ever Wondered’ a song composed by Jerry Silvester Vincent for the movie ‘Story of Lake’ has been shortlisted under the best song category for the 90th Academy awards, Lake of Fire is a Hollywood feature film directed by Raj Thiruselvan .
‘Have You Ever Wondered’, for which music is composed and programmed by Jerry Silvester Vincent. The vocals for ‘Have You Ever Wondered’ which is penned by Sunaina Benne and Pranav Nigam are given by Arjun Chandy and Lavita M. Lobo. Sivakumar S and Suresh Permal did the mixing part.
Jerry Silvester Vincent, who has been a composer, music programmer, score writer and engineer for AR Rahman for the last six years. Jerry did postgraduate diploma in audio engineering at KM College of Music and Technology and he was selected as the student of the year and hence was the chosen one to work with A.R. Rahman in his studio.
The story of Lake of Fire follows the lives of two teenagers, Max and Maggie, the town misfits. Physically and socially they are total opposites but in spite of their differences and perhaps because of them, the two outcasts grow to become best friends, and all through school they help each other over the rough spots and lend a shoulder to cry on when needed. Eventually the relationship between Max and Maggie develops into love, and as far as Max and Maggie are concerned life couldn’t get any better.
