The Canadian smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry is back into the mobile world after a gap and they are coming up with their flagship limited edition model Blackberry KeyOne.
BlackBerry KeyOne, priced around 39,990 Rs in the Indian market and will be available on sale exclusively through amazon.com from August 8th 2017 which is distributed by Optimus Infracom, the company owning the manufacturing & selling license of BlackBerry in India. This is the first dual sim capable smartphone ever manufactured by BlackBerry and is powered by Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.
The BlackBerry KeyOne has a 4.5-inch full HD touchscreen display with the typical BlackBerry QWERTY keypad adjacent to it. It’s having a body built in aluminum and covered in Gorilla Glass 4 on the front. The 4.5-inch LCD has a 3:2 aspect ratio and resolution of 1620 x 1080. The camera is 12 megapixels and uses a Sony sensor with 1.55-micron pixels.
The highlight of BlackBerry KeyOne is the presence of the conventional keypad which is absent in all other smartphones available in the market at the moment. Each of these keys can be customized to launch a particular app or feature. You can assign function to all 52 of them to call on any app, which means you don’t have to scroll and swipe on the screen to launch your app, which is a stand out feature only available in BlackBerry KeyOne. There’s also the ‘Convenience’ key that can be assigned to open any app, which is available below the volume button on the right side.
The 3,505 mAh battery gives you up to 2 days in standby mode and up to 11 hours with basic uses including gaming, Wifi, Video streaming etc.
Regarding the camera of BlackBerry KeyOne, which is a 12-megapixel rear camera which is actually quite good. The Sony IMX378 sensor used is the same as the one in the Pixel, which remains the best camera phone around, but it’s not implemented quite so well here. It works nicely in regular light. The KEYone can record video in 4K at 30 fps which obviously will deplete the storage of 32GB rapidly.
To wind it up Blackberry KeyOne is a good buy for the BlackBerry fans inspite of the high price for it while there are other phones with better features and fewer prices, but as we said it’s a perfect buy for the BlackBerry Lovers.
