Software to find peoples profile in Facebook by just scanning a photo of the user, Well is that interesting? Yes it is and its possible with an app called Facezam which will be launched in United states soon. As per Jack Kenyon, Facezam founder the idea for the app came while playing with Shazam ( The app which gives you the song details along with the download or purchase links when you scan a song with the app). Facezam also works in the same way Facezam can work out a person’s identity with 70 percent accuracy, based on the 10,000 images it’s been tested with. The biggest Challenge for Facezam is the privacy regulations as if you have a photo of someone you can easily get access to their Facebook profile. Jack Kenyon says that “Technology like this already exists in various forms within state institutions, and also publicly with the likes of Find Face in Russia and Blippar in the West.”
But Facebook is not so happy with this invention as its breaking their privacy policy which they offered to their users so already they have warned the Facezam team to take down the app. But there is no official confirmation on the same and as per Jack Kenyon the app is expected to be launched officially by March end. So next time when someone clicks your pic they might be using it to find your Facebook profile.
