Official discussions are happening regarding the merging of Rajadhani express and Air India, facilitating the travel needs of the citizens. As per the reports an individual can travel in Air India if his/her Rajadhani express train ticket is not getting confirmed after the preparation of the chart. Those people will be able to avail a seat in the Air India flight. People having unconfirmed AC first class and AC Second class tickets will be the one who will be eligible for this. The flight ticket will be provided for the same rate of the train fare or sometimes extra nominal fees might be charged based on the route and ticket availability. The proposal is under discussion stage and is expected to be introduced in major cities in the country initially.
Air India is the flag carrier airline of India. It is owned by Air India Limited, a government-owned enterprise. The Rajadhani express is a series of express passenger train services in India operated by Indian Railways connecting New Delhi with other important destinations (mostly capital cities of other states). The merging of these two services will assist the commuters in easy and hassle free travelling
