How do you feel about being the brand ambassador for EDM music in Kerala?
Being a DJ is all about my passion, hence truly I feel good about it.
How was your experience with your debut acting venture in ‘Safe’?
The role in Safe movie came to me through a friend of mine Saju who was the co-producer of the movie. They offered me the role of a biker. Biking is another passion of mine, apart from DJying. It was a challenging experience for me. I love taking up different challenges which comes to me. As i believe the moment we stop taking new challenges we will tend to become and settle with what exists.
Now, Destiny, the new album launched, how did you derive at the concept?
I follow many international artists, it was when it occurred to me that many popular international albums mix our chanting mantras with pop music and launch albums which run successfully. It struck me as an idea, why don’t an Indian version of the same can be made. This was during my acting debut of ‘Safe’ movie. I shared my interests to launch the album with Neil D’Cunha, who is the DoP of my movie Safe. He was impressed with the idea of creating this musical experiment with nature, art, and music. We reached at an idea of bringing in the enigmatic beauty of the nature and the enchanting voice of Amrutha Suresh who is a charismatic singer and also an expert in Sanskrit shlokas and classical singing which was the right mix which i was hunting for. The concept was so rich and chilling that Amrutha too agreed to gel into the experiment. Within a few days, we get on to work. It was supposed to be launched a week back, but due to monsoon conditions worsening in Kerala it got postponed to 23rd August. The catchy and uplifting mantra combined with the visuals and the backdrop of luscious greenery will just groove those minds leaving you with a positive vibe.
