Birth of “Sanchi” an online jewellery shop
Jewellery is part and parcel of modeling , it is part of your styling. That’s how I have this craze for jewellery. Basically “Sanchi” in Malayalam means shopping bag, and thats what it is all the designs in Sanchi are the designs which I handpicked myself from few of my designer friends. So far the response is good and I am glad that people are liking my selections.
Chocolatier, Model, Anchor, Writer and now Entrepreneur any thing more in the making.
Till date I have not preplanned anything, but yes film Making. is something in my mind which I would like to make an attempt , but don’t know when I would be able to flourish that dream.
I usually don’t want to loose opportunities, that’s one of the reason there are many tag for me like Chocolatier, Model, Anchor, Writer, Entrepreneur….etc. I love learning, I love taking chances and utilizing it up to maximum. I don’t want to regret later thinking that I didn’t used the opportunities given to me.
You have a 4 year old son, so how you manage all this busy schedule and business without affecting your family ?
Yes I have son, he is going to turn 5 this august. I’m not a super women, obviously I have a great family support and i do have help at home from my mother. She is a big support for me, she is always there and that’s one of the reasons i have been able to handle my career, shoots, shows etc. But definitely I make a point to be with my son whenever he is having holidays. We together enjoy some outings on his vacation. I always make sure that nothing comes above my family, its always my first priority.
What are the challenges faced by woman entrepreneur or is it the same compared to man.
I was into marketing in the cooperate world and most people think that, for women entrepreneurs business is more easy, when they go to dealers or meet people it is quite easy to get through, but no we do have our own issues like the way society see a woman doing business. We have break out of our comfort zone and be more aware, basically when getting into the right business commitments are hard as there are lot of ways be cheated. But with god’s grace I haven’t faced any such challenges with my business, I just have to balance between all that I’m committed and just goes smoothly.
Becoming a mother doesn’t mean that your life should forever need to be dedicated to baby sitting, its the matter of how you manage your career or dreams by giving priority to your family. Becoming mother is just the beginning and we can imagine no heroism greater than motherhood. So be a powerful mother.
