While most of the space research organizations are focused on studying and researching the possibility of life outside Earth. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, widely known as NASA is interested in something which has been a mystery since mankind evolved. Yes NASA will be visiting Sun soon.
Recently in Chicago NASA announced about their sun mission. The 20 day mission which is planned between 31 July 2018 and 19 August 2018. The spacecraft which will be the first one which will be exposed to high amount of heat energy which is expected to be 475 times of heat signatures what a spacecraft will experience while orbiting Earth. High density solar shadow shield will be protecting the spacecraft from all those harmful heat radiations emitted by the sun. The ultimate aim of the mission is to find answers for the mystery behind sun and the phenomenon behind the energy release in a star. It will also find answers for flow of energy in solar corona, solar wind, structure and dynamics of plasma.
The Sun mission spacecraft will be named after the famous American astrophysicist, Dr Eugene Parker the one who developed the theory on the supersonic solar wind and predicted the Parker spiral shape of the solar magnetic field in the outer solar system.
The findings from this expedition will help the geologists predict the climatic changes and the future of the life on earth.
